Located a little north of St. Anthony is Sand Creek. This area is fun to ride in because you can ride up the southwest side of the Island Park Caldera.
To get there, get on US-20 and head to St. Anthony. You can get there by driving through St. Anthony, but we found it easier to go past St. Anthony (driving north on US-20) and take a left turn onto E 600 N.
Followthat for a mile or so and turn right onto the Sand Creek Road. From there it is about 5 or 10 miles to Sand Creek. We found a convenient place to park and unloaded the machines.

From here there are a meriad of places to ride. To follow our route, you will probably need a GPS unit and the accompanying GPS map. We rode a long ways that day, about 45 miles and 3 or 4 hours. We ran into a large company of ATVers that were lost and were trying to find their way back to their rigs, so you would probably be wise to take extra gas and/or the GPS unit in this area.
