Located about 15 miles south of Pocatello is the Scout Mountain campground. It is also the trailhead of a nice ATV trail, which makes it a great family vacation spot for camping and riding.
To get there, just drive through Pocatello going south, and as I-15 turns east, take the first exit and get on N. Mink Creek Road.
From there drive to the Scout Mountain campground. If you are not camping, drive to the south side of the campground and park and unload.
From here there are very nice trails with very scenic views.
