Located about 20 miles from Sugar City, Relay Ridge is a fun and easy ride for ATVs. In addition, you would be hard pressed to find a more scenic ride.

The easiest way to get to the trailhead is to take the Teton exit off of US20 just north of Sugar City. Drive on 33 through Teton and Newdale, and turn right on Canyon Creek Road. (you may need to scroll to the right to see the entire map below)

Drive on this road for a few miles. You will go right past the Green Canyon swimming pool. About a mile past the swimming pool, a gravel road will turn off to the left.

There is a very small brown forest service sign that says "Relay Ridge" on it. Take the turn and immediately pull off to unload the ATVs.

From there it is about 11 miles and 3,000 feet to the top of Relay Ridge. You could drive a car up most of the way, but it is much funner on an ATV.

The scenery on this ride is beautiful. It is best if you go in mid July and August as in June there is still so much snow it may be impassible.

Take a couple of sweatshirts, and hat and gloves as it is pretty cold up on top.
