Located about a half an hour from Idaho Falls is the Fall Creek ride. This ride has all the elements I like in a good trail ride. It has some good windy trails through the woods, it has some very nice views of Swan Valley when you get up on top of the mountain ridges, and you make a loop, making the entire ride new view.
To get to the trailhead from Idaho Falls, head down HWY-26 and turn just before crossing the bridge onto Snake River Road.
Drive a mile or so and turn right onto Fall Creek Road. It is about another mile until you see the parking lot on the left.

The trail takes off from the parking lot. It is easy to miss the trail turn-off from the road and you will end up in the mine. The owner really doesn't like that, so keep an eye out.
There are LOTS of trails in this area, and it is easy to get disoriented or off on the wrong trail. Not a problem
if you have all day to explore, but if you want to take just this ride, take your GPS unit and print out the GPS
map for the trail.
