Located near Spencer is the Continental Divide trail. This is one beautiful and long ride. Be sure to have an entire day to spend if you take this entire ride.
To get to the trailhead from Idaho Falls, head north on I-15 to Spencer, about 60 miles.

Drive past the Spencer exit and take the next one (Stoddard Creek Campground exit). We took the exit and turned right, then drove over the railroad tracks and immediately pulled off to park and unload. We thought it would be funner to ride our ATVs down West Camas Creek Road to the trailhead, forest service road 473.
We took a long loop that went on both sides of the freeway. We stopped by Paul's Reservoir and had lunch. All in all, it was one fun ride. It is a bit rocky, so be prepared.
There are LOTS of trails in this area, and it is easy to get disoriented or off on the wrong trail. Not a problem
if you have all day to explore, but if you want to take just this ride, take your GPS unit and upload the kml file
to your GPS using DNR Garmin (if it is a Garmin).
