This series of trails is great, but we had one problem - how do you get down from the top of Kelly Mountain??? The trail map shows the Leaning Fir trail (#169) ending at the NF property line. We tried several trails but none that got down to the parking area at the junction of Moody and Table Rock roads. There are no road numbers or direction signs and we assumed the roads down the ski area were on private property (lease) putting us in jeopardy of trespass. We ended up back tracking all the way back to Table Rock road. More ride time but I prefer loop type rides. Never the less, ATV Idaho is a real asset!

I took this trail yesterday (June 23) and took the Stinking Spring Canyon trail down. Then I took the road along the river (206) back to Table Rock Canyon road (217). Then 217 to where I was parked at the junction of roads 217 & 218. I road Hawley Gulch (Poison Flats), Wolverine Creek, Leaning Fir and Stinking Spring trails. Only saw 2 ATVs on the Leaning Fir trail. Was this you?

You are right. The only way down is to backtrack or go down the Stinking Springs trail. It would be nice to have the road that services the cell towers open as that is the road that ends right in the staging area. It's kind of a dead end or involves a fair amount of riding on the road along the river.
